Creating a web site advice anyone?

A friend of mine, a gentleman in his seventies, is interested in creating a web site to publish some of his extensive local research. He is pretty with it having just written and published a book but needs some advice on the technical stuff. Any ideas where he could start? Any help much appreciated.

I can help. I've been building them since 1995 and am happy to help sort him out.

Get him to create an account on here and we can use the PM system to communicate.

Probably be an idea to build a WordPress (free software) site so he can make his own changes as and when he feels like it.
