Title: Polling station rules : They have to be joking
Post by: therealjr on January 25, 2012, 10:49:55 AM
So let me get this right. we have an archaic system relying on bits of paper, a system that nearly always produces a government that the majority of people didn't vote for, that continues to perpetuate a political system based on buggin's turn, that so diengages people that 35% of the population can't be bothered to vote.
So what's the biggest issue?
that 0.004% of people who wanted to vote,  who couldn't be @rsed to get the polling station anytime in the previous 15 hours were disenfranchised because they turned up at 10pm!
To quote the great philosopher McEnroe
They cannot be serious!!!!

ps Any decent presiding officer in a polling station would have seen this coming and dealt with it.
