I've just a had a quick play on this website. www.facepixelizer.com/
All you have to do is drag and drop the photo onto webpage using your mouse. The controls are then fairly simple  (y)

I've tried that one fly. Have dragged photo over but when I try to blur the face it does nothing - although it will put the funny faces on?

What have you been up too is their going to be a big secret revealed?  Another idea might be put some paper square over the faces but don't stick them down.

Ha Ha WCT - there is no big secret.
Just a very old photo I want to share but it has someone right at the front and I don't think it appropriate to share it unless the face is blurred.

I'll try the site again - for the 3rd time  :(

 this was the photo WCT
My interest in it is regarding the land to the left which is now built on.
Not sure what year though yet

I'm no historian or know the area but do you know which road this is? Libraries do have old maps in their collections going right back to me this looks 1950s it might be worth going to Chesterfield Library and asking for 1950s New Tupton maps if they have any. If you are wanting to know about ownership then the land registry holds that information but unfortunately that costs money.

WCT - it's Station Road - the only one it can be in the village which was on the route of the procession.
I'm really just interested in when the houses were  built on that land - it will give me an idea of how old the photo is.  :)

I've just come across this photo, I don't know how far you got with dating this OC since your post perhaps I could narrow it down for you I may not be spot on but I think I'm in the ball park, here goes.......

The lorry shown is a Bedford TK this [first] came into production in 1959.
The registration plate I can vaguely make out has three letters at the end.
Vehicles in Britain started being registered in or around 1963 with numbers on the end followed by a letter of the alphabet
{i.e. A..1963..B..1964..C..1965..D..1966 and so on} example one of my early motors was a D reg so built and registered in 1966.

So piecing this together I think you have a time line between 1959 and 1962/3... hope this helps!

Also if you are sure it's Station road, that would be Station New road now. Looking at the photo, if the cameraman wasn't "drunk" and it's level, the road is sloping {as SNR does} I would take the buildings through the trees to be Tupton Hall school so I would take a punt at the photographer standing in the road just at the bottom of the service road below the entrance to the school {as now} and the building work about to take place would be the bungalows on that service road.

Thanks for that. You may well be right.
It is on station Road in Tupton and yes below Tupton Hall school.
You have actually jogged my memory on this one and I have a friend now living on there so will ask when I next speak to them  ;)
