O2 mobile signal strength.
« on: April 11, 2012, 06:37:36 PM »
My smartphone keeps losing it's signal randomly.
It seems to have been doing it ever since the tv digital changeover.
Yep, I know that sounds a bit silly, but . .

I'd reflashed the phone's 'Radio ROM' to the latest version a couple of years ago cos it was a bit outdated.
I've reflashed it to a midway version to see if it makes a difference.
It seems to be getting a better signal now.

Just wondered if anybody else is seeing O2 signal probs.

Not O2, but the Orange signal at our house has always been very good - recently it's been switching between Orange & T-mobile due to poor signal strength on Orange!  :(

Same as OC. I only seem to get a problem though when I go to my Mums house - its only half a mile away but signal virtually disappears. I'm O2 as well (PAYG top up £10 a month - 500 free minutes to 01,02 numbers based on your post code & free calls to other O2 users) Suits me. ;)

Not lost the signal all day. 1st time for ages. Perhaps my, 'flashing' the phone's ROM worked.
Time will tell ;-)
