Benidorm is doing a re-run It takes my breath at times when Madge opens her mouth  :))
I record documentaries and some films.
I'm a celeb - No way!

Reply emails from large areas of potholes and poor surface reported have been
This street is on a list of rolling repair work to be carried out and will be done when it reaches the top.
Or something like that - sorry exact wording I can't remember but that is basically what I have been receiving
Hagg Hill I believe has been reported ( unsure how long ago it was submitted) however it wasn't filled in yesterday as I went up there myself.

Our Christmas follows the same routing as it has for the last few years.
Daughter and her partner comes to stay ( unless he's working then it's just daughter)
Christmas Eve afternoon  - a meal out, back home to chill with a glass of something stronger than tea or coffee.
Christmas Day and Boxing Day at home chilling, chatting, watching TV. Maybe a game of dominoes -
Quiet and for some boring I suppose  but we love the family time.

I saw a couple of minutes of Big Brother the other day.
Now I'd happily blow our TV up, if only I had some explosives.

I'm not a Big Brother fan so never watch it, I'm a celebrity get me out of here is also another one I tend to switch off these days. We used to watch it but there's so much boring stuff in between the trials it's either record and skip the crap bits or don't bother - we have chosen the 'don't bother'

Has anyone seen the Christmas Lights in Chesterfield?
I'm just wondering if they are impressive this year.
Driving through the main Street in Clay Cross I have to say it has always looked festive however I can't say if the rest of the town which would be Market street I suppose it decorated.

Chesterfield Discussion / Re: Parking charges increasing...

According to my daughter Tesco Clay Cross has now put up signs in their car park basically about length of parking and how long before you return, so quite obviously they must be having the same trouble as the Royal did a few years ago where people were just using it as a car park whilst going elsewhere.

Not seen them myself but no doubt there will be penalties for the miscreants.

Yes I noticed the new car parking rules.
I think the café may well lose out on custom there.
We have three shops, if a visit to all three is on the agenda it may well leave very little time left to sit in the café for a leisurely hot drink or lunch - it's going in the way Ravenside has gone!

Plus - Tesco need to sort out those large amounts of standing water they have in their car park - !!

After the last storm which left flooding in our village we went onto one of the roads which had been badly affected. We checked all the drains and they were blocked! Some were unblock-able by us and need the council to come out with the correct equipment.
As for Horns Bridge and Storforth Lane one would think that the engineers would have sorted those two out by now!
On a personal note we are fortunate not to be at flooding risk but our lawn is certainly squelching as we walk on it.
I know we have a lot of heavy rain battering us these days - however we will no doubt be short of water during dry spells ( if we get any!)

Ahhh OK. I'm really sorry we didn't get the chance to say hello.
It was one of those nights when people wanted to chat  .
We do like it when people come and are friendly though.
The next meeting is in March. I'll be putting it on here.
So if it's something of interest to you let me know. J will look out for you.
