I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

After a bit of fannying about I should get mine next week. Apparently one online store was taking 800 hits a minute as folks tried to buy one.  :o

I've moved the thread to the relevant board  ;)

Right, a friend of mine gave me a Raspberry Pi today.
I'm sure he'll post if he so wishes  ;)

Power supply, FAIL. But I can sort that out  :)
USB Keyboard. FAIL. See my other post  ;)
HDMI cable and Monitor. Part FAIL  :(
Cable. FAIL. See my other post  :(
Flat screen TV in bedroom, HDMI compatible  ;)
SD memory card, Yup got a spare 2GB. Software install 1.90GB  :o
Might need a bigger SD card  :(

Installing the freely available Linux Software to the SD card.
Total FAIL !!
Two hours later, I got the software installed on the SD card  :)
I can't try it yet, I still need the power supply, a keyboard and an HDMI cable LOL

Watch this space for future developments.

I've set myself one challenge.

What narks me is the fact they promoted this as a building block for schools.
Well I'm sorry. I hope the teachers in the schools have my compassion and dedication to computers.
Can use DOS and Disk Management within windows.
Otherwise it's the biggest cheap hyped gadget that's ever been produced.
