Chesterfield Discussion / Re: Premier Inn comes to Chesterfield
« on: April 20, 2016, 08:51:26 PM »
We are to have a Premier Inn with 89 bedrooms plus a Beefeater restaurant in the Old Co-Op. It's in a good spot within Chesterfield so hoping it brings in more trade for the retailers.

That makes three then if you count the old Highwayman(named as chesterfield west).

I've got it on one of my laptops, and on the face of it, it looks Good.
However, if you decide to Download, then before you do, research on privacy P2P,then when downloaded, this needs turning off.
In fact here you are :-

Have A look on Ebay for a valuation.
I'm not a avid collector, just picked a few up in past when out and about,
but have looked on ebay for prices.

When we were kids, we used walk up to the rock from Holmgate every Easter,
then walk down the path into 'Asher', passing that Bungalow which had a Stone
Bust on top of an extension, With Glass Eyes, making it look Scarey.

As I Understand it, there has been a Track upgrade going on , on the Midland Line.
This was recently completed at Clay Cross, for quicker journey Times to London.
Yes, I ask the same question, Why do we need the proposed HR2 Line.

Hope Link works

Noticed this Morning, that there appeared to be 'black Mounds' in

Fun Stuff / SUNDAY MORNING
« on: April 26, 2015, 05:30:10 PM »
Came across this on Facebook-

Sunday Morning Sex

Upon hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95 year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Katie told her grandmother that 2 people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble. "Oh no, my dear," replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding and out on the Dong." She paused to wipe away a tear, and continued, "He'd still be alive if the ice cream truck hadn't come along."

I will never hear church bells ringing again without smiling.

General Discussion / Re: Age of retirement
« on: March 01, 2015, 07:27:46 PM »
Surely that £86 a week is based on the national insurance paid so far. ?
the new system coming into force, April 2016, says everyone will receive £145
a week.
as for your original question, well some want to retire, some want to work part time,
and some are happy to carry on working full time.
do I agree, hmm... cant say as I am one of the lucky ones, and can
retire this December, tho' I have been asked to carry on...we will see.
