I'll wait for the Ferarri version thanks. ;)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Sorry I lost my modify page so will start again.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/05/29/google_driverless_car_its_all_drivel/

Is this for real?
It only goes at 25 mph, imagine it going up Slack Hill or on Derby Road - On any road come to that.

It has sensors to detect objects thus avoiding collisions
Two football pitches I think it said.

I've seen enough of drivers who for instance at the Tupton roundabout waiting just in case a vehicle is coming out of Clay Cross - how far do they want to see????

Thumbs down from me

I don't care how many safety features it has built in. If I'm not in control of it, It's not for me !!

The sky has fully skilled pilots, the roads are full of idiots. I may have mis-worded my point  :P

Can you imagine on the school run when, at home time, all the kids get in the wrong cars which deliver them to the wrong houses...  :))

Anyone who needs this car probably shouldn't even be on the roads IMO.
It would be like having those large mobility scooters crawling on the road  ::)

They may be fully skilled pilots but very few of them actually do anything these days in fact they are actively encouraged not to touch the controls because the computers fly the plane more efficiently to the benefit of fuel costs.

So essentially planes are pretty much like driverless cars?

Until something goes wrong then the skilled person takes over. Would you get on a plane if there was no pilot ?
