Esther Ranzen is to be interviewed on Sky News at 11.30am this morning regarding the Savile investigation.
I think things will start to be revealed this week and there will be some crapping themselves who were involved in this.

Hope you enjoy it anyway Alsatian, I have heard of that place but never been. As I said only stopped for days whilst cruising, didn't like being hassled by the sellers and certainly didn't like them bringing their camels up to the side of me ( I have a thing about camels). Just didn't feel safe full stop!
Strange but after all the bad press etc that Israel has had over the years I enjoyed my visit there and felt safe.
Many go to Egypt in the spring / summer for some sun and enjoy it as I am sure you will

@ Fly the sea wasn't too bad, looked worse than it was, ship didn't move that much.
Been cold today hasn't it --- roll on summer!!

I have a new type of bird feeding when I opened the curtains this morning.
Not sure as yet what it is.
Small (maybe a bit fatter than a sparrow). Very quick in movements. black and white. It's not a Pied Wagtail as I know they hop along. Am thinking it is a Coal Tit? Daughter says is it a young Magpie

I hope not! But think it would be larger than that by now anyway. So am bird watching and will try and get a clear photo, not easy through the window.

We walked down Les Ramblas in Barcelona Fly, were a bit miffed at the attituted of a couple of the street cafe/bar staff. Quite arrogant in their reply that we couldn't just sit and have a drink without food. Only we were not hungry having had breakfast only a few hours before.
We eventually sat and had a large lager

took me a long time to drink it but we chatted to another couple who were on the ship so it made for a pleasant passing of the time.

We floated back to the shuttle bus and once on the ship had a kip

not used to lunch time drinking orrrr used lagers

@ Alsatian, I take it you like Egypt then? We will stop there on next years cruise but won't get off having been there done it (only on a cruise though) and don't like it. although Sharm is very popular I believe. Where would you stay? We are wondering if our cruise will actually sail because of the troubles still around.

Don't know what type of car it was , not really that good on car models, but the driver pushed a ticket inot the barrier slot and it lifted up. Just had a thought, can yearly tickets be purchased? I may have jumped to the wrong conclusion?????

@ Pete, like you I wasn't for the Halloween but looking after the children made me re-think. You are quite right it is fun for the children, obviously though not for some especially the elderly and I used to put a poster in my mums window, also forbid the children to visit any bungalows or people who i knew were not well.

@ Fly I had to pace myself each day because of the back problem. We didn't go on any tours but used the shuttle bus at each port and just had a wander around for an hour or so before returning to the ship.
Have been to gp this week who says it's now a muscularskeltal problem and I have to go for physio.
Have had to cancel some of my work now because of this problem, although not too fussed about that as I was winding things down anyway

We didn't take that many photo's on the last hols apart from around the ship which some of you would have seen.

This one is as we left Gibralta, intending to Dolphin/Whale watch.

Sorry couldn't resist that! Within 3 mins of pulling out of the port we couldn't see our hand in front of us

@ C.C I will be interested to hear from you in a few years time when your youngster is at school as this is what a lot of the children seem to do these days. Most round here go around with parents all in halloween fancy dress. Must admit we have never had or heard of any of the flour/egg soiling although I know it goes on.

We always buy sweets for the children who come and hubby loves to put out a pumpkin to let them know they can knock.
Not everyone does though so ----
