I dont think boris is a jinx as that infers an element of chance, i think that he is a chancer and a mountebank and sooner or later it will bite him in the arse

I have been hearing the fuss over Boris giving priority to geting rescue animals out of Afghanistan and while i agree that a lot more people at risk should have been airlifted out surely one more plane could have been found for the people as well as the animals, i for one am not going to get annoyed at Boris for rescuing rescue animals from afghanistan as i suspect they would have either have been indiscrimately killed or possibly eaten.

this so called enquiry can only acertain the facts of what happened and we already know what these are, the enquiry cannot draw any conclusions as to the rights and wrongs of what occured as under the present rules that is the job of the prime minister, so boris will be able to pronounce himself not guilty of any wrongdoing.
Also i would suggest that the relaxing of covid rules has more to do with saving boris than saving the rest of us.

boris has put the party in the Conservative and Unionist Party, it is clear he and his coterie have broken the rules that they themselves instigated and the anger of the man/woman in the street is wholly justified, that being said it is clearly a bit rich of the labour party getting on its high horse when you consider the lack of candour and obstruction of justice and abusess and criminality employed by the corrupt edifice that is a Laour Cesterfield Borough Council.

Wihile i think that Boris and his staff have behaved shamefully i hardly think that the labour party trying to hold him to account is very honest as they are not above reproach themselves.
Following is an email i sent to the Prime Minister exoressing my disgust at the hypocrisy and double standards of the Labour Party.

Dear Prime Minister, I watched the disgusting spectacle of the labour party including my own MP  questioning you as to you breaking the rules and subsequently the law as it relates to lockdown rules in 2020, a few years ago my disabled partner and special needs son were viciously attacked by council employed security in our local shopping centre the council and their employees started covering up including lying about what happened and after these guards were prosecuted for their actions the council refused to investigate the actions of their employees until the outcome of the court case, when they did investigate they made numerous promises all of which proved to be lies including one promise to address a list of questions i had, including a question about lies made by a labour councillor in an attempt to cover up the unlawful actions of council employees, to this day those questions have been ignored, how can the labour party try to hold you to account to what they see as your rule breaking when they cannot behave in the way they expect of you, the Labour Party are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.

A slight deviation - I reckon our Queen should retire gracefully. She isn't too well health wise and I doubt anyone would think badly of her and yes she deserves to hang up her Crown - but who should take over ?
Nobody, i rather think that like the Palace of Westminster the Monarchy has outlived its usefulness.

General Discussion / Re: I've got gas!
« on: October 11, 2021, 01:44:52 AM »
Gas is sold at kilowatts per hour the same as electricity if you look at the price of gas per kwh you will see it is substantially cheaper than electricity per kwh, how long this will remain the case remains to be seen, also take into account that gas heat is instant, an electric hob takes time to warm up which means you are using electricity while it warms the hob unit rather than your food which over the course of the year may add up to quite a bit of waste, a few years ago i calculated the cost of  boiling a kettle full of water by timing how long it took to boil using a 2kw kettle and a gas kettle with the same amount of water and at that point the cost of the electric kettle was a little over 4 times the cost of using a gas kettle.

it actually looks even more sinister in your photo, though it is impressive in its exececution so i am a bit torn, and maybe thats what makes it good art.

If the care workers 'care enough' they would have the job!
We have to have two lateral flow tests the week before our special needs lady comes for the weekend. I isn't pleasant - but needs must!

I am amazed we enjoyed a week in Skegness and none of us came back with Covid.
Maybe it is because we still wear masks indoors when in shops etc, ate meals and drinks outside when possible, and still follow the hand cleaning routing. Or maybe we were all just lucky!
since the covid pandemic started me and my family have managed three midweek breaks in skegness in between the lockdowns and two of them were before we were vaccinated, so i guess we were lucky too.

I heard the comment about women needing to change how they answer the police - why?
Do NOT blame the women for nasty people like this individual.
Does anyone know the reason for the other officers nicknaming him as 'The Rapist' I do find this distasteful if it is true!
maybe his co workers knew something we dont, i understand he had been in trouble for exposing himself, and also he had been making denigrating posts about women online or maybe it was how he looked as some of the photos i have seen of him he looks a tadd sinister. but i may just be thinking that with hindsight.
