Whats actually 'news'?
« on: September 10, 2013, 08:33:47 PM »
Just been out for something to eat and on the way back the news on Radio 2 came on.  It was the usual about Syria etc and then they had a piece about David Cameron wearing glasses in public to read a document.

Is this really news?  Who gives a shit if he wears glasses or not?

I know, they're not so public friendly as they appear to be. Shame really  :(

Didn't mean that. It's the shit music they play, over and over and over and over, etc.

It's all background noise to me. I just want up to date traffic reports. Peak fail big time LOL
Saying that, they can only give local news if people pass news on. Which they don't !
I've phoned them about the M1 being grid locked before now. It was nearly 2 hours before they mentioned it on air.
Is there any wonder why people don''t keep them up to date

Radio Sheffield is the same.  Mind you Look North seem to be about 3 days behind too.  There was a bit back when they said the M1 was standstill northbound from J30, i can see M1 from the window and it was moving just fine.

We have gold on at home. In the car I listen to classic FM. Don't really enjoy some of the music on Peak. Think it's my age ::) TV

I stopped listening to Peak years ago, it started out as a genuine community radio station but that didn't last. Virgin Radio used to be ok but poor reception on medium wave.

Quite like Jeremy Vine show on R2 but can't beat Planet rock for music though unfortunately can't get it in the car.
