i know i made a joke of it but it is indicative of the state of the institutions in this country, the most annoying thing to me is that when some politician brings something out that is controversial they will always say that any negative effects will be tempered by "checks and balances" these do not work and i do not think they are meant to work they are put there as a sop to dissenters, i have been in a battle with chesterfield council for the last four years regarding thier illegal acts and the institutions in place to hold them to account are totally inefectual.

Good luck with the council battle hifimad - you'll be lucky to get anywhere, they don't like confrontation. Let us know how you get on

thanks, however it is not that the council do not like confrontation as they have created exactly this by engaging in two unlawfull acts on one day and the compounding it by comitting more ulawfull acts in their subseqent cover up, which include assaults, lies, numerous breeches of the data protection act, the town hall represents to me and my abused family a wretched hive of liars criminals and villainy. i will continue my policy of lawful protest and very soon hope to create a page on the internet to spell out all of the wrong doing, what was done and by whom.

Strong accusations hifimad.
Maybe they didn't expect you to pursue your confrontation of them as many wouldn't.
