Politics / Boris shows his true colours
« on: September 26, 2019, 05:24:25 PM »
We have all seen the rise of Boris, he put himself forward as this rather scatter brained avuncular unkle type and a jovial regular bloke, oh how the mask has slipped, i note from some of the posts on this forum that we people are not so easily fooled by his act, however it is clear that a lot of the population have bought the lie, i sincerely hope that his behaviour in Parliament yesterday may cause some of his admirers now take the time to take a closer look and realise the mask hides a shameless, vile, self entitled, arrogant and nasty piece of work whose sole intent is to stir up public dissension to further his own ends.

Politics / Contempt of Parliament
« on: September 24, 2019, 04:57:16 PM »
Is boris in contempt of Parliament after the supreme court ruling, if in doubt read the following legal explanation and decide.

Contempt of Parliament. In countries with a parliamentary system of government, contempt of Parliament is the offence of obstructing the legislature in the carrying out of its functions, or of hindering any legislator in the performance of their duties.

Politics / PARLIAMENTS DECEITFUL SUSPENSION RULED UNLAWFUL
« on: September 24, 2019, 02:37:39 PM »
We all thought Theresa May was bad enough but it must be said Boris has taken things to a new low, if one reads between the lines of the ruling of the Supreme Court Boris has deceived the people, Parliament and ultimately Her Majesty the Queen, i do not consider this deceit by Boris as coming as some great earth shattering revelation of the undoubted dishonesty of the man, but rather merely confirms his tactics of dishonesty which started the minute he started peddling his lies during the 2016 referendum campaign and appear to have continued to this very day.
Surely it is not to much to ask that our politicians not only observe the rule of law (which BORIS seems to reject), but also they should behave with honesty and integrity (which has been proved in a Court of Law that Boris does not).

Chesterfield Discussion / Chesterfield stench
« on: September 12, 2019, 12:39:04 AM »
On returning to newbold from Calow on Wednesday afternoon as we passed nebold tesco garage and aproached nebold village i and my familys nostrills were assaulted by the most dreadfull stench, as we got nearer to our home in Dunston the smell became more concentrated, from what i have been told this stench was emanating from a field behind dunston where a farmer had been spraying pig slurry.
later the same afternoon i went shopping to both Asda and Iceland and not only could you smell it outside the stores, as Iceland has no aircon you could smell it all over the shop even at the bottom of the shop, i then had to go to littlemoor post office and the smell was foul.
I understand that farmers need to spray their fields but i am also sure that causing such a stench over such a large area must be in contravention of the clean air legislation, when you consider the distance from the point of spraying to Sheffield road  is about a mile and at this point the smell was extremelly strong just how far was its total coverage, so if anyone smelled this awfull stenh let us know your rough area which may help us to determine its total area.

Politics / Borises Brexit Mayhem
« on: September 07, 2019, 12:31:00 PM »
When Boris became PM everyone said give him a chance he can't possibly be any worse than Theresa May, well bang goes that theory.

In the space of a few sitting days in Parliament he has managed to lose a slender majority (he never had as he was being propped up by the DUP), he has been shown to have lied about proroguing parliament, he has thrown out of the party some of the most highly respected Tory MPs and ex Ministers including the grandson of Winston Churchill, and let’s not forget Rory Stewart who received his expulsion notice by text at the award ceremony where he received the politician of the year award, he has also managed to annoy the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police by using Police recruits as a backdrop for a rambling political speech on the same day his own brother becomes the first MP to resign to spend less time with his family.

He has attempted to bully Parliament with deceit and bluster and he has been soundly put in his place by that very same Parliament indeed his one achievement (no doubt unintended) is to unite Parliament in opposition to his bully boy tactics.

As I write this I am listening to the news which has reported that Boris has stated he intends to ignore the law passed in the two Houses of Parliament which has instructed him to seek an extension to article fifty, so not  only is he a serial liar and a bully it may transpire that he is a criminal as well, what i do find funny is that he fought the referendum on the mantra of bringing back control of UK laws to the UK Parliament, the very same Parliamentary laws he is demonstrating he intends to ignore, clearly what he meant was bring back control to Parliament as long as the laws passed suit Boris and the Tory Party.

It strikes me that what the Tory Brexiteers are about is leaving the EU so that any laws that are passed by Parliament that they do not like can be easily ignored whereas it is a lot more difficult to ignore EU law.

Politics / Boris the vindictive tyrant
« on: September 04, 2019, 03:08:38 AM »
Boris backed the leave camp in the brexit referendum and his mantra was to take back Parliamentary control, so now Parliament has set about doing exactly that, Johnson, Reece Mogg and Gove proved themselves to be a thorn in the side of Mays Government by constantly undermining it as well as voting against it, so how does the hubristic despot Johnson react to members of his own party behaving in the same manner he expels them, this tyranical liar and hypocrite has had the gall to even expel from the tory party Winston Churchills Grandson as well as other leading tories and ex Mnisters, if he is prepared to treat his own parties longstanding and senior members in such a disgusting fashion then this cannot bode well for the rest of us.

Chesterfield Discussion / llamas camel and zebra at New Whittington
« on: August 30, 2019, 04:47:20 PM »
llamas camel and zebra at New Whittington, i went to Peter Jollies Circus last night and was quite surprised they had llamas even though they were not shown on the posters, for the last few years the in thing animal wise was unicorns and this year it seems to be llamas (at least they exist) as well as horses miniature ponys and other animals, so anyone out there with llama obsessed kids or grand kids the circus is well worth a visit.

Politics / so this is bringing back control, really?
« on: August 29, 2019, 01:04:51 AM »
So our esteemed PM has decided to prorogue Parliament to enable him to persue a no deal brexit, let us not foget that he had already said he would not prorogue Parliament on a number of occasions/ but i expect no better of such a treacherous, backstabbing, entitled tory liar such as Johnson.
And so much for brexit bring back control to Parliament and the people, it is clear proof of what i have been saying all along, brexit was not about bringing back control to Parliament or the people through parliament, brexit was and is about bringing back control for the Tory party and merely a vehicle to re-establish their sef imagined devine right to rule at any cost.
And lets face it whenever the tories are in power there is always a cost but the tories and their supporters never have to pay it as this cost is always passed on to the poor and most vulnerable in society.

Politics / Boris is Prime Minister
« on: July 23, 2019, 06:02:38 PM »
Yes thats right the lunatic really has taken over the asylum, i saw one of his supporters on politics live the other day stating he had a mandate though not for what, forgive my scepticism but how does a shoe in PM who got his position as a result of a vote of by around 150,000 people in a nation of 60 million prove he has a mandate.

I got a letter from a government department last week and one sentence had the word have replaced with the word of, as i understand it if you wish to become a member of the civil service at the very least you need a qualification in english, i have also heard the of word used in this manner and also the word asked being altered to axed, it seems to me that these are just two examples of the continued bastardisation of the spoken word.

Politics / high court case against boris quashed
« on: June 07, 2019, 05:46:34 PM »
Oh what a surprise i am shocked and stunned (not) that the establishment in the guise of our so called independant judiciary have thrown out the case against boris for miconduct in public office, who on earth could possibly have ever predicted such an outcome, what the judiciary have done is to prove beyond doubt that it is ok lying to the public by any official body that choses to do so, is it any wonder that certain people who work for Chesterfield Borough Council can committ criminal acts in the full knowledge they will never be held to account, one rule for us and another for them, the system stinks.

Politics / NHS for sale as a result of brexit
« on: June 03, 2019, 12:23:29 PM »
This is the latest news involving a no deal brexit, if we were to leave with no deal and we were to cosy up to the americans with a UK/USA trade deal the USA would want access to our NHS states the US Ambassador, this could lead to the partial or total privatisation of the NHS, i don't remember any mention of this from Farage, Mogg, Johnson or Gove during the brexit campaign, though having said that it is clear that the Tories are idealogically wedded to the idea of Privatising the NHS and farage himself has always been in favour of dismantling the NHS, there was so much dishonesty from the brexit supporting politicians during the brexit debate it is to be wondered wether their ideas on the NHS were lurking there in the background and left unstated so as not to frighten off potential leave voters, it is to be wondered if the leave vs remain vote would have been so close had voters been aware that the fragmentation of the NHS was a possible outcome, I THINK NOT.

Alastair Campbell has been expelled from the Labour Party for voting for the Lib Dems in the EU election. i myself have been a long time Labour voter since Tony Benn first stood in chesterfield, though i even voted for the Lib Dems in the EU elections as a strategic vote, i do not always agree with Alastair Campbells views however i think his expullsion is motivated by malice and spite of the most hypocritical kind, when you consider the support that the Labour hard left have given to other people and parties over the years. there are three Parliamentary labour voters in our house, after a discussion this morning it was decided that until Alastair Campbell is reinstated we intend to withdraw our support for the Labour Party.

Politics / Theresa May resigns
« on: May 24, 2019, 01:13:51 PM »
So theresa May resigns as Prime Minister amid tears, she should saved her tears for herself, and instead shed them for the people being forced onto universal credit, the people who have to rely on food banks, the disabled people forced to endure Dwp assesments, to name just a few. and so another one bites the dust, this tory infighting has been going on since the original 1975 EU referendum, what i do find ironic is that the same people who now rant on about betraying democracy and not honouring the 2016 referendum are the same people who have for years been refusing to honour the 1975 refendum result, and as a result the fourth tory Prime Minister in a row bites the dust due to the EU, NEXT.

General Discussion / Jeremy kyle Show Axed (at last)
« on: May 15, 2019, 02:20:37 PM »
Finally the TV company has been forced to discontinue this exploititive garbage, it was a bear pit were the bears where the disfunctional members of the public who were held up to be pilloried and abused by Kyle and his baying mob the audience, whenever people looked like they were about to retaliate against Kyle he would hide behind his burly security guards while still harranging his hapless victims, thank the lord i will not see his smug self satisfied fizzogg on my tv ever again advertising his upcoming programs exploitation of the less fortunate members of society. the show can now be consigned to the dustbin of history while hopfully taking the cowardly, smug, sanctimonious and judgemental kyle with it
