Sherlock Holmes

Was brilliant - why can't we have more of this and less reality shit?

Well done BBC.

we've been out tonight so I've Sky+ it for later consumption.
If it's as good as the last series it will be alright.
Somebody said recently that Benedict Cumberbatch would be an actor to look out for in the future.
Considering he was nominated for a Baftas in 2004 and 09 and  an Olivier award in 2005 and was named best Actor by GQ magazine this year I think my response to that would be 'No S**t Sherlock'!!

I too thought it was very good, and yes, much better than reality nonsense.

Watched it last night - their take on the Hound of the Baskervilles - bit of a let down after the others I thought.  :(

Anyone else watch it?

In the paper today I see around 100 viewers had complained about nudity in the New Years Day episode.

I also read that it attracted an audience of about 10 million...

Now if that was a ballot, I think we'd be seeing more of this sort of thing - and quite frankly I think I can handle it ;)

Those 100 people are those who will complain no matter what...they are just looking for things to whine about. At least in my opinion.
I think it's been great so far...even better than the first season. A shame it's only 3 episodes.

Excellent final episode last night in which Sherlock died and then came back to life again...  ???

Any ideas gang? Something to do with the cyclist knocking him over?

Watched the final episode on iplayer.

Apparently there's a big debate going on about how it happened.
Obviously Molly is involved. And the cyclist knocked over Watson. As this happened, a rubbish lorry drove past so it is theorised that the cyclist was to distract Watsons attention while Holmes jumped into the back of the rubbish lorry to cushion his fall, then from there to the pavement. Prior to jumping he could have taken some drugs to slow his pulse, (Watson checked it). The ambulance crew were in and out very quick without waiting for any other emergency services turn up so these were probably arranged by Molly too, and then she could have faked all the paperwork, as she is meant o be a forensic pathologist or something.
Other theories include the body really being Moriarty with some clever mask on, but that is very unlikely, my guess is that Moriarty also comes back from the dead next series.
Overall, a good watch.
