Canvey Island school bans triangle shaped flapjacks

"A school's decision to ban triangular flapjacks after a pupil was hurt has been labelled "half-baked" by the Health and Safety Executive.

It follows an incident at Castle View School in Canvey Island, Essex, when a boy was hit in the face by a flapjack.

Catering staff at the school have been told only to serve square or rectangular flapjacks.

The school said the "isolated accident" had led to a review of "the texture and shape of the flapjacks" provided."

Remember getting hit in't eyeball with a lump of thrown ice, at senior school.
Black eye for weeks. Nothing done to the lad who threw it.
Me, wrong place, wrong time.
Mum and dad didn't even contact the school when I got home with an eye shut.
School nurse had 'seen' to me. That was deemed good enough.

It's to protect the child I take to school. Make sure I'm not 'naughty' with him' on the way to school.
Works 2 ways, also stops him accusing me of being naughty.

His mother always phones me when he's off school if she want's him taking/fetching somewhere.
Booked as a taxi fare no escort required.
I take him on my own. His mother trusts me.

As we all know triangles have 3 corners, squares have 4 corners
That means theres a higher chance of being hit by a corner of the square one yet this is acceptable

Id hate to be the child of a Health and Safety rep.  I bet they all sleep in padded rooms and the air pressure inside is slightly lower than outside so when a door or window opens, any bad stuff get sucked out.

Some people really need to step in to the real world.
