Duchess of Cambridge hoax call nurse found dead
« on: December 07, 2012, 04:17:25 PM »
"A member of staff at the private hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge was treated for acute morning sickness has died in a suspected suicide two days after the hospital was duped by a hoax call from an Australian radio station, it has emerged."

Could this death be caused by the prank phone call?

Is this another side of the media that wants sorting out by someone like Leveson? Oh, scrub that, Cameron is not implementing all Leveson's recommendations…

There is something very wrong somewhere with what is accepted as "normal" behaviour in this screwed up world of ours...

The prank was really very naughty and not that funny as the result is more pressure too soon on the duchess, They people concerned should be taken to task. >:(
Very sad about the nurse wonder if the pressure of this incident was the straw that broke the camels back. People have to be in a dark place to be brave enough to do this.
ps @ Fly - hope this doesn't upset you as I know recent events with someone you know have been similar - if it does - please delete the post.

The prank callers could never have imagined this outcome. It's all very sad.

All seems a bit strange. The nurse apparently isn't the one who gave out the details but did initially take the call. She hadn't been disciplined by the hospital. Think a whole lot more is going to emerge over the next few days on this one.

Personally think this is all over rated. She must have had issues we don't know about.
Let's keep it that way.

Respecs to her family :-(

According to BBC News, the 2 DJs have been suspended and all advertising removed.  Apparently 2 major contracts with the radio station have also been suspended.

Although they cant be directly linked to her death, they've had a part to play and I hope they are totally ashamed of themselves and the correct action taken against them.

Young and foolish - but how 'young' do people have to be to be excused from being this foolish

The debate in the press seems to be for/against pranks, some say they are OK some say the opposite.

Personally I think pranks between friends are OK but pranks played on someone you don't know are just plain wrong and may have repercussions that nobody ever thought about.
