i know i made a joke of it but it is indicative of the state of the institutions in this country, the most annoying thing to me is that when some politician brings something out that is controversial they will always say that any negative effects will be tempered by "checks and balances" these do not work and i do not think they are meant to work they are put there as a sop to dissenters, i have been in a battle with chesterfield council for the last four years regarding thier illegal acts and the institutions in place to hold them to account are totally inefectual.

Good luck with the council battle hifimad - you'll be lucky to get anywhere, they don't like confrontation. Let us know how you get on

thanks, however it is not that the council do not like confrontation as they have created exactly this by engaging in two unlawfull acts on one day and the compounding it by comitting more ulawfull acts in their subseqent cover up, which include assaults, lies, numerous breeches of the data protection act, the town hall represents to me and my abused family a wretched hive of liars criminals and villainy. i will continue my policy of lawful protest and very soon hope to create a page on the internet to spell out all of the wrong doing, what was done and by whom.

Does this incident you refer to involve a supposed shoplifting event ?

Strong accusations hifimad.
Maybe they didn't expect you to pursue your confrontation of them as many wouldn't.

no it does not involve a shoplifting event supposed or otherwise, in the case i am referring to there was simply a number of attacks made without explanation or justification either on the day or since, also it has involved me  being accused by people on another forum of being guilty of libel and telling lies, now considering that i have been shouting from the rooftops what has happened for the past four years and still no case of slander or libel has been issued against me with very good reason and that is the defence against libel or slander is that the person accused is telling the truth, i cannot elaborate further as the forum might consider i am trying to drag them into the middle of it

Take it to the Law Society if you haven't already done so.

You are obviously very upset by events and very passionate about injustice done towards you - don't give up x

The document in the link in your last post clearly shows the word 'shoplifter'.

If you want to use the forum to spread your story of injustice, at least try to be clear and consistent  MD

if I read the post correctly, person/s were accused of shoplifting but no evidence  was found ? What happened 'after' is the main issue hifmad has ?

Please correct me if I' wrong.

Hifimad, you have two options here, one is to pursue this with the authorities in order to get the justice you feel should be done.

The other is to drop it and move on with your life even though it must be a bitter pill for you all to swallow.

I can understand your anger and your need to want your claims proven - it's only natural -

but - sometimes the best thing for our well being is to walk away from a situation which will never seemingly be resolved.

This has gone on for a long time and will eventually put so much stress onto your health - take a tip from an old lass and try and put it to rest. x

i believe there was an accustion of shoplifting however this was shown by the police to be not the case, if you have read my letter to huw bowen you will know that persons involved were being obstructive so no direct accusation of shoplifting has ever been made officially, also i might add the only persons to be charged with any crime were not my son or partner, also it was not my intent initially to use the forum to spread this matter as in the past i have been pilloried for this in the past i put the link to enable old cruiser to see it and make her own mind up frankly i did not think anyone else would be that interested as they were not four years ago.

at 62 i am no spring chicken myself however without going into it i have witnessed and been subjected to way to many injustices in my life and i will not let it go, this matter is still in the second stage of the councils complaints process though it must be said they are dragging their heels i suspect that they are hoping i will hurry up and die of old age
