Fascinating talk about the story behind the book....and a series of crimes 'locked away' until 2050.....we would love to know why,,,but never will...

Rants / Bargain!
« Last post by Sorastro on March 05, 2024, 01:10:43 PM »
Once again, as I have mentioned in the dim and distant past, bargains galore to be had usually to be found on the backs of magazines.

The ones that get my goat is the Royal mint {collectable} newly minted coins. I have just come across the latest from the Charles collection once in a lifetime chance to buy coins {total face value £3:88p} yours for just £34!!!

If I owned a shop and priced my goods at 10 times their value compared to the shop next door selling the same items how long would I stay in business.

These coins won't {and never will be} worth more than their face value so shelling out for these coins is just a sheer waste of money.
My brother started his coin collection when he was a teenager, he past away last year aged 81 and he had a substantial collection, but he had already been told that his collection had in fact depreciated in value rather than increased I certainly don't think he would have got a decent return for all his efforts.

There seems to be some progress as regards a ceasefire as talks continue in Paris and elsewhere.

M.H.O.
Hamas is getting round the negotiating table mainly because Gaza is overrun by Israeli soldiers who have a strategic strangle hold on Gaza therefore stifling Hamas, in other words Hamas is getting it's butt kicked. Hamas needs to take stock and the only way they can do that is to create a breathing space by playing along and stalling for time at the talks {i.e. a ceasefire} so they can regroup. I don't think Hamas really knew what behemoth they had awoken in Israel when they raided in October, but they certainly know now and they are paying the price along with many thousands of innocent people on both sides.

Hamas has always said it is the sworn enemy of Israel, so the upshot is why should Israel give them an inch!.......How is it going to end? it's anyone's guess, but you can rest assured the killing will continue.

If you want to see potholes at their worst just go round the Arkwright roundabout on the way to Bolsover it's beyond a joke.

Came back home that way yesterday, council on the r/about looks like they are going to do something {but what?..watch this space!}
