Hipper Street School circa 1961
« on: March 01, 2014, 10:53:10 PM »
Mods, If I've posted these pics before kick 'em off.  I DID have a look to see if I could find them but nothing came up.  Maybe I did it on the old forum.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, here's some pics from Hipper Street School circa 1961.  I'm on them somewhere.
Just not saying where  :-[

Great photo's Gerty, have scrutinised them and couldn't find a girl with glasses so am thinking they were worn later in life?
Going to have a guess anyway.
First and second picture middle 5th from left?
Couldn't even stab a guess at the last one

Had another look are you at the front 4th from left not counting teacher?

A few years after you were there Gert, but interesting if you've not seen it before.

Hipper to Hady
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Thanks Pete.  Yes I've seen that one before.  Old forum perhaps?  :)

A bit of both Gerty. I recall the swimming teacher always pushing his specs back! O0

Soccer team from my last year. Names recognised are Norman Dolling with trophy, Keith Marriot goalie and top right Geoffrey Simmons

I guess this is the School sports team. Margaret Freeman behind lower trophy, I recall the two either side but forget names. Also think bottom left is Lavinia Turner...plus the lads in the soccer pic

Good photo's Nugget. Brings back some memories I'll bet  ;)

Navy Blue for PE - I hated those navy blue knickers we girls had to wear  :-[
