As a former firefighter, there would be a number of reasons why different stations may be involved. Most likely scenario is the location of specialist vehicles or specialist crews. It is now commonplace to see appliances from neighbouring counties attending incidents within Derbyshire and vice versa. Attendance mobilisation these days is like a game of chess, where it is a matter of maintaining adequate cover, in fact no different to days long gone. It could be that Clowne and Matlock may well be reported as attending the incident, but not necessarily to the address - they may then be standing by at Chesterfield to maintain cover.
