After their World renowned success in perfecting the hemorrhoid transplant, Birmingham University Hospital have moved to the other end of the human body and tackled the dreadful problem of chapped lips which are prevalent when the weather is freezing cold and dry.
Tests were carried out on all proprietary medicines available in Britain - but none were found to be really effective.
It was noticed that farmers in Devon rarely suffer from prolonged chapped lips. Intensive investigations revealed a novel protective measure. As soon as dry lips develop, the farmers find a cow, lift up its tail, and kiss it squarely and thoroughly on the bum.
It is believed the method works, not because the debris stuck to the cow’s bum has medicinal properties, but it deters the victims from licking their lips.
