For years we have been told that defecit reduction is the number one issue to affect our country, and we are living beyond our means, and that the only medicine is austerity, the 1bn pound deal the tories have made with the DUP shows that for seven years we have been fed a big fat lie, it now seems that the medicine we have been subjected to was akin to a prescription from Dr Shipman it sounds as though it may do us good but is essentially poisonous, the tories have finally shown their true priorities, that is to cling onto power however much it costs and however many lives may be put at risk in Northern Ireland if the peace talks were to break down as a result of their irresponsible self serving actions.

Very True hifimad.
They have finally proved to everyone what many of us already knew.
They will do ANYTHING to stay in power - that money was stolen by them from the people of the UK in the name of 'getting the deficit down' -
My arse!!
With the ( much needed ) money being spent on the unsafe buildings, Brexit and this lump sum the UK may well be near bankrupt!!

If they scrap HS2, they'll have another 50bn+ to play with C:-)
