Hi Cindy, welcome to ChesterfieldOnline.org

Not an F1 type of guy myself  :(
I'm sure someone will have a comment on it.
Loved the banter on the facebook thread tonight.

Welcome aboard Cindy.

You've got to hope that the car's performance on its launch and in today's first official test session  are not indicative of things to come or it could be a long season for Hamilton.
I'd be worried if I was Hamilton about the way the team is being re-structured and the possible sidelining of Ross Brawn. He is without doubt the main reason for the success of Mercedes.
Right now it's difficult to see beyond the usual suspects of Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari for the top places with Mercedes, Lotus in Division 2, Williams, Force India Sauber and Torro Rosso in Div 3 and Caterham and Marussia bringing up the rear.

Oops'a daisy. Hamilton in a crash on a test lap. At least he isn't injured.

Will still like to get to Spa one day for the F1.

Been there done that.
Plus Monaco, Hockenheim and Zandvoort (and Silverstone, Brands and Donnington)
But I got priced out of the Grand Prix market 20 years ago!!!

Bit belated this seeing as they are already practising in Malaysia but what did we make of the first race of the season in Oz.
For my own part I'm getting a bit bored with F1 races being won in the pit garages by some boffin sat at his laptop deciding the best race strategy. Well done Kimi for preserving your tyres better than anyone else and only needing 2 stops but it's not my idea of real motor racing. Granted its not as bad as when refuelling caused chaos but I still think that what they should do is just race for 70 laps out on the track fastest car/driver takes all.
Anyone else got an opinion?

The dad of the kid I took to school for 12 years was a big F1 fan, obviously we spoke a lot together, 3 hours a day in a taxi together. I also read Clarkson's column in the papers regularly.
I could never understand why they kept changing the rules. Car weight, tyres, spoiler designs etc.

Man/Woman, fastest car, most skill = race
Or is it the money involved behind the teams that was, scuse the phrase, driving forward the changes in rules.
An endless supply of money won't make you win. Let's keep it equal.

The rules are constantly changed to make it better 'television'. That's where the big money is, ask Bernie.
