General Discussion / Shortages of fuel and food stuffs
« on: September 25, 2021, 01:25:20 PM »
Its hilarious, the government are going to introduce special visas to EU foreign lorry drivers to come to britain to alleviate our delivery problems, so much for brexit being good for britain can anyone out there tell me what brexit benefits we have had so far, the yanks have told us there will not be a trade deal, we are now begging EU nationals to come into the country to deliver our stuff, our fishermen are having problems exporting their fish into Europe, we are unable to take meat products into Northen Ireland, inflation is rising, what is even more amusing is that one of the forums members ( i cant remember who) said that having less foreign lorry drivers on our roads would be a good thing, as far as i can see there has been only drawbacks to brexit with no upsides.

He also states anyone who was “sure” about whether Leave or Remain was right has a “screw loose" and that wether it was good or bad would be decided by history, he also says that the £350m on the side of the Brexit Bus was there simply to wind up the opposition, these statements are truly disturbing as the Brexit supporters Cummings himself included were stating as a fact that a Brexit Britain would be better than a Britain that remained in the European Union.
It is certainly a truism that so far i have yet to see or experience any of the advantages that were supposed to flood into Britain as a result of Brexit and so far i have only seen the reports of the negative impacts of brexit.
The Tory Party have in some ways been exceedingly lucky in the fact that the covid pandemic has dominated the news and thus kept a lot of the brexit pit falls out of the news.
If i was Dominic Cummings i would be laughing my arse off for doing the equivalent of convincing the turkeys to vote for Christmas by saying to them you will not end up in the oven and then after the turkeys have voted saying well yes you may end up in the oven afterall, i wonder how the referendum would have gone if the brexit supporters had said "anyone who was “sure” about whether Leave or Remain was right has a “screw loose" and that wether it was good or bad would be decided by history" it is clear that the leavers were sold a lie however the majority of the hard core leavers will never admit it even if everything goes to pot.

General Discussion / Euro 2021 England v Italy
« on: July 12, 2021, 01:10:06 AM »
For as i long as i can remember i have hated football with a passion, i remeber as a youngster as being about as interested in football as going to the dentist or having my tonsills out, i remember being forced to play this uterlly dreadfull game at school and totally screwing it up.
However i must express my deep and abiding dissapointment at Englands loss to Italy tonight, this is no Damacine realisation by myself that i have been wrong all of my life but a realisation that i must go on listening to the Newspapers and TV going on about 1966 it was my fervent hope that England won so everybody would shut the hell up about 1966 and we could have another so called glory to bang on about for the next 55 years, alas it was not to be so back to 1966 it is then.

Chesterfield Discussion / covid restrictions to be extended
« on: June 14, 2021, 06:22:26 PM »
Boris announced today that covid restrictions are to be extended for upto four weeks, when you look at what is happening with the indian variant i myself think it is the most sensible course, Andrew Lloyd Weber came on the news straight after the announcement claiming that big stage musicals were not financially viable with only fifty percent of allowable aidience, so every cloud as the saying goes.

General Discussion / boris goes on a picnic during lockdown
« on: January 12, 2021, 04:54:51 PM »
In the news today it has reported how boris cycled seven miles during lockdown, now if he used his usual bike it has a drinks container fastened to it, so was he imediately surrounded by a mob of police and accused of having a picnic and fined NO.
This is exactly the same as the earlier Cummings incident the rules made for the general population which boris and his crowd want  rigouresly enforcing by a mob of armed to the teeth personnel in quasi military outfits apply to everyone but themselves, this shows the level of contempt they not only have for the general population but also their total disregard for the law itself and as it applies to themselves.
I hate lockdown but see it as a necessary way to reduce infection and save lives but if boris does not abide by the rules why should anyone else, this is just another example of what boris and the rest of them think about the voters ie that they are just there to give them the power to do as they please.

Politics / Trump suspended from twitter
« on: January 09, 2021, 02:47:53 PM »
Talk about shutting the stabe door, in this case the horse has not only bolted it has been recaught lived to a ripe old age died and now resides in numerous tubes of thix o fix, Trump has been posting on twitter spreading ludicrously outragious concpiracy theories and disinformation for years, David Camereron once said that to many tweets makes a tw@ in trumps case this seems to be true, however lets not forget that twitter is culpable for enabling his insanity.

General Discussion / a flask of cofee is a picnic according to police
« on: January 09, 2021, 02:27:41 PM »
This is what Derbyshire Police said to justify an imposition of a £200 fine (each) after numerous of their number surrounded the two women who went for their exersize to walk around round a reservoir, thank god they did not take a scotch egg with them as after Gove stated a scotch egg constituted a substantial meal the police could have fined them for having an open a resteuraunt open to the public in the shape of a car.

We are constantly being told how short staffed our Police are and this proves the lie, if you or i call out the police to deal with a burglary or vandalism to property they turn up days later, yet they have enough manpower to turn up mob handed to fine two ladies who were abiding by lockdown rules and not breaking any law.

These ladies were not posing any risk to themselves or others however by surrounding these ladies mob handed the risk  to health these ladies faced was imediatly multiplied, the only risky behaviour which warranted a fine in this case was commited by the Police themselves.

General Discussion / Trum unleashes chaos on Senate
« on: January 07, 2021, 01:24:17 AM »
In a bid to overturn the election result Trump told his crowd of gullible supporters to march on the senate and chaos ensued, these are the actions of an anti democratic tyrant which should never be allowed to succeed, whenever we see this kind of tyranny we should call it out as it is the slippery slope to anarchy wether it be trump and his supporters, the chinese atempts to inflict tyranny on hong kong, or Chesterfield borough councils hired mercenaries beating up innocent people, we should call out these lawless tyrants and say we the people do not accept these despots wether they have been voted into power or in the case of china a dictatorial regime, i beleive that in the long term Trump supporters will come to realise that they have been manipulated and lied to but i do not think this will happen overnight and dread to think what may happen in the short term.

Chesterfield Discussion / Man lying on floor in Poundland
« on: January 04, 2021, 02:03:29 PM »
As I entered Poundland in the Pavements today I saw a man lying on the floor with two of the Precincts security round him my first thought was that he had collapsed , however as i collected the required cans of cat food I  then had to go close to the other side of the man on the floor to purchase some other items and it became apparent that one of the guards was almost sat on the man while the other was holding him.
The guard that seemed to be sat on his legs was interrogating him as to why he had assaulted a member of Poundland staff, the first thing i noticed was the man was not resisting at all and also by what right was this guard interrogating this man about an alleged offence by assuming his guilt surely this is the job of the Courts.
I spoke to the man on the floor (which i am lawfully entitled to do) and pointed out to him how this team of guards are the team who attack innocent special needs young men and disabled people as I thought it a bit rich that this team of guards should interrogate anyone about assault and battery considering their history and both their and their employers refusal to give any explanation regarding the attacks  on members of the public which found two of the guards number in the dock in Magistrates Court charged with assault themselves.
Because i spoke to the man the guard who appeared to be sitting on the man’s legs who was still not resisting said to me thank you i have got this on body cam implying that by talking to the man i had done something wrong, at no point did I address the guards directly (except to point out to camera guard I had done nothing wrong and had just told the truth) nor did I try to impede their actions, this is another example of this team of guards contempt for the rights of members of the public when acting within the law which they themselves seem to flout with impunity.
The questions that now need answering are how did the man find himself on the floor, did the guards enact a lawful citizen’s arrest including informing him of what the arrest was for, did they inform him of his right to silence before interrogating him.
Or did they do what they have done on numerous occasions before just attack him and put him on the floor. also when it was clear he was not resisting he should have been allowed to get up instead of being held purely to create a public spectacle.

Politics / Tesco and M&S stockpile food to prepare for no-deal Brexit
« on: December 09, 2020, 02:18:26 PM »
So here we are brexit is nearly upon us and there looks as if there is a possibility of food shortages, is this what taking back control looks like, fantastic we have control over wether we starve or not, and so starve it is or at the very least we will not be able to buy the things we have taken for granted for the last forty years, but its not all bad the rich lying tories who wanted this debacle will be able to buy their way out of it unlike the majority of the prolls who voted to inflict this on us, there should be a way to figure out who voted leave or remain and anyone who voted leave should be pushed to the back of the inevitable food ques as they bought this on themselves and this is what they voted for and thus inflicted it on the remainers.

Chesterfield Discussion / Is brexit causing shortages already?
« on: December 05, 2020, 04:59:44 PM »
Every year in the run up to christmas we usually treat ourselves to a few bootles of advocaat, we always get one bottle of Warninks and a couple of bottles of the cheaper end like Cooymans and home brand types, this year for a reason i cannot fathom the only advocaat available seems to be Warninks which can be pricey, i have tried all the local big name supermarkets and they all only have Warninks and Aldi and Lidl who usually have their home brand stuff have none at all, I wonder if this is a portent of things to come.

Chesterfield Discussion / Tesco breaks its own covid rules
« on: November 27, 2020, 01:57:43 AM »
last Saturday afternoon i went to tesco on Sheffield Road i exited the lift and as i was walking towards the aisles i saw an area in front of me with a tesco trolly collecting for foodbanks as i made to go round it a member of staff who was not wearing a mask walked straight towards me, he placed himself right in front of me maskless and in my personal space just to tell me he was collecting for foodbanks, it is hard to see how we will ever get out of tier three restrictions with morons like this around.
