That's interesting. I've never heard that before. Thanks for offering to drop them off Fly. I will add them to my brick path and paved with bricks area in the back garden.  :)

I think we should also spare a thought for the guys who fought a good fight and were 'lucky' enough to come home. Some with life altering injuries, all with life altering memories. Lives changed forever.

Hi Barry. If you haven't already bought then leave it. Not keen on the crack. Of course if you have already got it then I will pay you for it. Thank you for thinking of me. :)

I had reason to visit the new rugby club at Dunston a few months ago and the chap there was telling me that they hire out the venue for private functions. It's a new build. replacing the old facilities which were on stonegravels. Whilst I didn't check the enabled toilets I would imagine that being such a recent development that they would be fully accessible. Might be a bit far out of Chesterfield though. nice bar area, seating and dance floor. :)

Hi OC, I am doing some research into local brick works for the history group and thought I had better try and find a few examples. I've found quite a few and OH said he would make them into a wall in the garden. Only used about a third of the ones I have accumalted so far.

Hi Pete, The Wasp Nest Brick Co bricks were used to build the football stand and I heard that a few fans have a Wasp Nest brick on their mantlepiece. Wasp Nest bricks were used to build st Helena School too. I'm not sure what bricks were used for Horns Bridge but if anyone does know could they let me know please? I do hear OH muttering "another brick" on a fairly regular basis :)

Not sure where to put this but they are mostly local and I'm going to need a bigger wall.

No problem at all. Have emailed you more pics. Don't know why but this one looks a bit odd on here.  :)
