Democracy and Capitalism aren't 2 opposing sides anyway, they should go together, but are failing because both have become morally corrupt.
And why can't I modify or edit my posts.......no wonder the countries in such a mess. :)

My own view is that nobody should hold a public office that has any direct effect on any part of the private sector, unless they have had experience working in said sector.  That would decimate all parties, but perhaps then we could start building up political parties that actually have a clue of how the real world operates before trying to dictate how it should operate..

One slight problem.
Those people you describe are in industry.
They are earning far more than they can as MP's or even PM.
Why should they bother?

You can, within 5 minutes of posting.
If there's ever something you seriously want editing, ask or PM me or Pete  ;)

Thanks Pete and Fly, wasn't a serious grumble, just a little moan because I often rush wen typing, then see all the spelling mistakes later and can't change them.
I noticed I could amend immediately after posting but not later...just shows how much thought goes into what happens behind the scenes that us users take for granted.

Not everyone in business is Alan Sugar, Pete and I have our own businesses and a salary of over £50k plus benefits to us might sound quite tempting. Afterall, the commons is meant to be full of commmoners.

Where do I apply?  :))
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Thats the point, you can't unless you are part of the old boys network.

Are there any people less productive than those who deal in stocks and shares for a living? Are they any different to the unemployed who spend all day in betting shops?
