World Cup 2014
« on: June 10, 2014, 08:12:49 PM »
Well its almost upon us (for those that are interested)

How do you think England will do?  Bear in mind we have Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica to beat, id guess Italy being the most difficult but then again we cant even beat Honduras

Id like to think that the team Woy has picked have something to prove playing for their country and I really hope they will do well.

My guess is qualify for the last 8 as in the last 16 we could have Colombia, Greece, Côte d'Ivoire or Japan then thats it.

Fingers crossed we do better than I predict

Being serious. We won't win it. Nuff said.
The players are on such big wages they don't really care. They make a mint either way !!

Good thing is maybe it won't be rammed down our throats as much.

Woy has a golden opportunity which he will almost certainly squander. It's a given that we won't win the World Cup but what we can do Is give opportunities to the next generation, people like sterling Wiltshire Barkley etc and play attractive positive football that will give us a head start on qualifying for Euro 2016, a tournament we can win. However what I expect him to do is go for his dour defensive ,first aim is not to lose tactics and stick with the majority of the old guard.

I'd sooner stick cocktail sticks in my eyes than stay up and watch a match at that time  :))
