Derbyshire Council Scandal coming up?

Just saw this Tweet by Michael Broomhead, reporter with the DT

"So we're back in recession yet new data shows Derbyshire council chief execs pocketed pay and perks of almost £1m last year."

Can't wait until that hits the streets - unless Mr Broomhead gets silenced by our lords and masters...  :(

I take that to mean all the CEOs of all the councils in Derbyshire. I think a chief exec's salary is in the region of £100k so it's probably about right if all councils are included.

Whether they deserve that level of salary is another matter - what do CEOs of companies employing similar workforces and having similar budgets earn, I've no idea.
