Greek exit could throw UK 'into long-term recession'

Can't we tell them not to bother? George Osborne has got "long-term recession" covered already.   :(
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I think we've managed to get ourself into long term - even double dip recession quite easily really, without too much help from others.
At least we have found something we are good at ;D

Have the Greeks singled us out for special attention then? I bet the rest of the EU are really jealous.

Yep. They heard I was considering a holiday in the Greek islands this year but have turned it down.

Bad losers...

On the news last night, reports of Greeks taking their money out of their (Greek) bank, and putting it in our banks where they think its safer.
Certainly if Greece exit it would have an impact, but we are in a better position than most of Europe, our banks hold relatively little Greek debt.
Trade would be hit, but thats a short term issue, and as Europes economy improves, ours would too, more so than many others. I have seen several predictions that show that within a generation the British economy will out strip Germanys, not much sight of that yet though.
