It is with a very hurt and saddened heart that I inform you that my wife Margaret passed away in her sleep at home this morning after a brave, hard, year long battle against cancer.
I know there's a couple of members who knew or had met her in the past.
Sad, sad, day :'(
-
So very sorry to hear your sad news Fly.
May she rest in peace and be free of pain at last.
-
Condolences on your loss Fly.

We were very sad to hear of Mags death Barry. She was a lovely lady. always a smile and a chat when we saw her.
Also Barry. I have to say what a wonderful supportive husband you have been over the months.
I know how difficult this can be in so many ways.
Credit to you mate.
Sending our condolences to you and your family.
You have my number if you need a rant xxx

I echo Pams sentiments entirely & I am so sorry to hear of your bereavement. In my short time of knowing her she was always a fun character & frequently acknowledged my as I drove past in the bus (despite being competition for fares), & it's a very sad loss indeed.
You know where I am if you need me as always of course.

I am so sorry to be reading this We did meet on a Christmas meet when the forum was fairly young and I saw her a few years ago dropping a customer off opposite my house in Eckington when you both drove for Celia's Taxis and I know you were devoted to her.

Whitewine ?
Got me thinking now. I remember her face, but not her name/forum name.
-
Real name is Debbie, Whitewine would have been her forum name just checked but I seem to remember the forum changed for some reason and she did not join the new one just checked in members. She is older now lol.

We will be at the Crem Barry. I have an appointment later that afternoon so won't be able to go to the Hill Top Club.
You take care of yourself once the funeral is over and your life goes on mate. It's not easy but you have a supportive family and friends network around you xxx7
-
Unfortunately I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon, so won't be able to attend, but my thoughts will be with you and your family. Keith
-
I won't be attending Fly as I don't wish to intrude on the day, and also as I didn't know her personally.
With your permission I would be more than happy to make a small donation {in your wife's name} to any charity you may choose......
If that's o.k.
H.

Many thanks to you all ;)
Donations are being collected for Ashgate Hospice who were very helpful in the last few week to both of us (y)

Lovely funeral and a great tribute to Margaret Barry.
Well done mate x

Jonathan Reeve who did the (non religious) service is a wonderful bloke.
He'd had an hour at my house with me, Margaret's sister and daughter, and took lots of notes whilst we told various stories and facts about her and her life. The way he puts it over is like he actually knew the person.
Would you believe he's actually in great demand for his services and we were very lucky to get him. He only does so many a week.
-
Yes I know Jonathan. He's married to my close friends daughter, who by the way was a close friend of my daughter when younger.
He has a way of delivering a service like no other I have seen and yes he is in high demand.
Our family has used him for a good few years now for funerals.
A lovely bloke and I will tell my friend of your kind words about him when we next meet for lunch.
-
There was a post on the 'Spotted Chesterfield' Facebook group a few days earlier asking who the 'legend from the crem' was lol :)
He was aware of the post and told us he was very flattered/embarrassed by it.(I think that's what he said) (y)
-
;D his hair gives him a biblical appearance.
Lovely bloke
-
He is a big Chesterfield supporter.Always in his seat at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
-
Not wanting to dis the team or such Umpire.
He does a much better job of helping people at their time of grief than it's possible for him to do for footy club :(
He may look like the people's idea of Jesus, compassionate voice, longish hair etc, but I think miracles aren't at his finger tips (y)
Everything aside. Thank you Jonathan. You did my wife proud :'( :) MD
