It's not a road tax anymore is it? It's based on emissions.
My little petrol engined 1300cc 4x4 is £265 a year. Apparently it's high in emissions.
Electric vehicle = £0. No emissions.
It's also got age of vehicle thrown in there somewhere.

The news clip I heard said he was blaming the rising cost of the UK's energy was because of climate change.

Did he really say that, or was the clip I heard 'distorted a bit'.
I thought Russia had caused the rise in costs of UK energy?

Techie Or Suggestions / Re: CleanTalk spam guard
« on: October 08, 2022, 10:18:14 AM »
I've recently installed CleanTalk anti spam on the forum.
https://cleantalk.org/
It has a very easy to follow installation guide, what could be easier.
I'm well impressed by it, and at a reasonable price too.
Saves me and the mods a lot of manual work sorting out the legit sign ups from the spam ones.
If by chance you're a member of another forum and they are susceptible spam attacks, mention it to the admin on that forum.
It might help them out too  MD (y)

I am so impressed with CleanTalk anti spam I have just renewed the service for another 3 years.
I get an email everymonth telling me how many spam posts have been stopped or rejected by the system.

Brilliant stuff  (y) MD

Couldn't you just buy a YouView box. You'd get all the standard channels like Freeview but through your broaband connection, not your antenna?
