NE Derbyshire Council building for sale?
« on: August 16, 2014, 05:57:51 PM »
I saw the council building on Saltergate was up for sale. Whats the score? Anyone know?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Council are re-homing offices to buildings on Mill Lane off Derby Rd.
I believe Ryknal Housing offices are up there too.

Why anti social behaviour living services ?

So, another big building for sale in town. Who would want a building of that size?

Yes Rykneld Homes operate from there. Lower down there is another building which I think has something to do with the Nature reserve down at the bottom of Mill Lane. In the past they have had nature walks/talks for children which have been operated from there. I am supposing that may also be council owned?

That puzzled me too! Perhaps the word 'how' should be replaced by 'own'?

My understanding is that they no longer have to pay rent to CBC, thus saving a small fortune as they are now within NEDDC territory.
