Title: Jim Davidson at the Winding Wheel!
Post by: Sorastro on October 25, 2021, 08:00:40 PM
The D.T. describes this upcoming event as "The peoples comedian on tour".

The following is MY personal opinion:-
I've never rated the bloke, as some did/do, as a really good comedian not even a fairly good one, I know humour is a matter of personal taste, but as I have mentioned before there are so called comedians out there who are about as funny as piles and he's out on top.
His MUCH reported bigoted humour over the years really does belong in the past, and he and his material wasn't overly funny then. Yes certain comedians then had [fairly] similar material but they could carry it off, mainly because they had a head start on Davidson, they were talented, and knew the boundaries.
The only thing I have EVER {begrudgingly} admired him for was during the elections in the nineties when he openly said that, as a staunch Tory, if Labour gets in he would leave the country...Labour did and so he did, Paul Daniels said exactly the same but he didn't.

Obviously I don't know what his "new" material will be like on the night, no doubt he will be "absolutely brilliant" to some.

Bottom line is I won't waste MY money.

Just checked on here and wondered if anyone reading this post actually went and saw him!

If it was in the D.T. I didn't read it, I just wondered how he went down!
