We've nipped off for a few short breaks and the weather's been glorious. Returned from York today so have the washing pegged out and it's drying nicely - roll on the next one -------

When are we going to get some warmer weather. Fed up of this cool weather now. At least a few days spattered in with the odd cool day would be welcomed. I've not bothered to get my summer clothes out yet!

Taxi drivers who park up outside a house and sit pressing the car horn.
7.45am this morning a taxi was doing this. We were up but some people work nights or there may be other reasons they need sleep.

Is there anything going around.
Sinus problem, Asthma kicked off, coughing none stop, wheezing -
Lovely - it's Bank Holiday weekend and I feel rubbish.
It's not Covid, I tested for that yesterday.
I booked to go out for Sunday lunch to the Greyhound - cancelled that!

The Tupton Chapel Players - never heard of them?
They have been an Amateur Dramatic Group performing in Tupton for many years. It's in walking distance.
This entertaining group have put on many brilliant performances over the years.
I'm sure their latest one will be entertaining!

Entertainment / 2025 Tupton History Society

I've now booked speakers for 2025. All Derbyshire. have to admit I've been pecking their heads since last year so I'm really pleased they have all agreed to come.

Our next speaker is in June this year and is the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Portable Antiquities officer Meghan King who will bring along some of their 'Handling Finds' when she visits.
More nearer the time

Lovely day today, I've just pegged the washing out, opened the shed door where my over wintered Hedgehogs are as it's too warm inside.
I've heard we have a cold snap over the weekend but fingers 🤞 we can move fully into spring!
