As a child I remember the small black and white tele coming in and the excitment watching muffin the mule, johnny morris (hot chesnut man), wooden tops ------ :)

Like the photo, but why would you want a one eyed cat?

One eye --- no eyes --- does it matter??

Drove us mad as well in our village, when they got to our street there were huge holes over drives with metal plates over them and high metal fences at the sides I could only reverse into the drive because of the angle it was scarey!

We have a dvd/video recorder machine in our bedroom, the tele works through it. I very often tape stuff and we watch it later I have also used it to transfer home vidoe's on to VHS and more recently transfered them all from VHS onto DVD. Just can't seem to get on with putting them on through pc, so it's abeen a good tool to have.

Yep - me too. I feel lucky that my teenage years were 1963 (when the Beatles and Rolling Stones started) until 1969 - great years for music - especially if you knew the kind of crap that was around before. ;)

Mod  8) or Rocker ?

Have to agree with you Fly my daugher bought a new washer/dryer last May and to do a full wash /dry cycle on some settings it takes hours.

Ridiculous as nothing needs that much washing --- does it????

hey and I remember getting my fingers nipped in the mangle as well!! OUCH!!

On a visit to York a few years back we had a look around the museum and guess what --- they had my CURRENT carpet cleaner at that time in on show ---- boy did hubby get some earache not buying me an up to date one  :D  :D

This can get complicated   ;)

The temp. on 3 is only half that as the one on 7 if you have stained clothes maybe they won't come out? Whites won't be as white if washed regularly on 30deg I don't think ----

I only use 30deg for clothes which just need freshening up or can't be washed on a higher temp?
But hey --- that's just me I am a bit picky with washing.  :-\

I think they are trying to make them to technical, ours has been a pain right from the start --- it seems it won't spin if the washing isn't level inside ----- so the cycle just keeps stopping and starting, never getting any further with it!!
BRING BACK THE DOLLEY TUB!!!  ;D

Here's a better shot of Jack, our last cat.
Scuse the tears, still miss him  :'(

Awww he's beautiful --- those eyes ------

We took some cat food to st Bernards last week and i asked if they had any kittens, only have older cats at the moment - take a lot of feeding though especially with the other animals they have --- good cause! Good people to give them a home!

Great photo Christa  :) I'm sure she'll soon come round.
Years ago we got an 8 month old rescue cat, sadly we lost him last year  :(

Heartbreaking when a member of our family leaves us our treasured pets are part of our families.
Sorry you no longer you have your cat Fly.
We support St Bernards animal sanctuary at Whittington, byt taking cat food and anything we no longer want which is worth selling.
Good on you to take in a rescue cat Fly --- big hearted eh!!
