Bar stewards! Slightly off topic, turned tv on this morning and there was some kind of discussion programme on and it was asking whether senior citizens receiving (amongst other things) free bus passes are adversely affecting young peoples education grants! ???
What did strike home to me was the fact that my Mother, who pays her own care home fees, doesn't get winter fuel allowance - whilst pensioners living in Spain do!!!
Firstly it's feckin' warm there and they don't need it
Secondly they don't contribute to the economy
