Post by: simondjuk on October 21, 2014, 09:04:53 PM
My birthday was a couple of months ago and the date of my booked present finally arrived.

Would definitely recommend this (if it interests you)

Years ago (at least 35 I reckon) I spent a week at RAF St Athen in South Wales on an Air Training Corps camp. There was a Vulcan in there for repairs and we were allowed to crawl all over it. I was struck for such a huge plane how tiny the cockpit and windscreen were.
Saw XH558 in the air at Waddington last year. Still an awesome sight

Anyone can visit, you just need to book.  I did the VIP tour at £35 each which was amazing.  There is a £12 tour but that's with a large group.
