From roughly where Pennine Way is there were fields and more fields. From Brockwell Lane you walked down a narrow lane  to the bottom of the hill where there was a stream and Jacksons Farm.
If you went straight on  you were on the Donkey Racecourse eventually to an old stone cottage through a small wood past a pumping station and on to Linacre woods.
If you turned right at Jacksons Farmm it was through fields and into Newbold Village. If you went left at the farm again fields onto Ashgate Road.Gaunts Farm  was  where the Holme Hall Inn is.
I spent many hours in that area when I was young.

WE both had our first vaccine yesterday at the  Winding Wheel and had the Pfizer one. With this one you have wait for fifteen minutes to see if you have any adverse reaction.
From going through the doors to coming out was 25 minutes. It is all well
organised. My two sister in laws  have been today and they were given the Oxford one.

we had one cancelled by Jet2 in June .I had paid the full anount.A lady from Jet2 rang me and apologised for the cancellation and promised I  would get a full refund within 14 days and they  were true to their word.
We  had a second holiday booked forLanzarote and we should have been there now.I had only paid £120 deposit way before Covid  but we decided to cancel due to all the rules and regulations  required.I forfeited the deposit.
However since then Jet2 have cancelled it so  I would have got the deposit refunded.Thats the risk we took but we just did not want to go.

I spoke to my daughter today and the cough has gone. She says its the best shes felt for over two weeks.Considering  that  she  has only had  a mild dose  of the virus   and it has taken that length of time  to recover those who survive serious symptoms could face a long road to complete recovery.
We are very relieved.

My daughter has got  it but the only sympton is a cough. She has been told by work to get tested but is in a difficult situation. The testing station is 7 miles away from where she lives in Nottingham. She does not drive  and cannot go by taxi and obviously all her friends do not want to risk it and she lives on her own.She has been in isolation for  seven days so hopefully she might get rid of the cough soon.
Her last hope is the taxi firm who she uses are going  let her know tomorrow whether anybody  will take her.

From what I hear The Peak District has been heaving today.Car parks full and around Monsall Dale people in groups  strolling about.I also saw a photo of Matlock Bath with loads of Motor Cyclists stood around.I despair.
