My oppo at work has had keyhole surgery on his knee and is off for the forseeable future. In consequence Im doing permanent 6am starts till he comes back. If he is still off between xmas and new year I cant see me making any meet up.

Depends what Shift i am on, do not have the luxury of the FIL this year, dependant on where you go as well? If i finish at 6pm ill be walking down Brampton but probably will not be going to town,...
If I am on early shift I will be in bed :))

I have no probs sticking with Spa lane. 6 of us had a school reunion there a bit back, plenty of large enough table to fit a group of us in.

I find the general rule for good meet-ups is the smaller the number of folks, the better the quality of conversation.

OK, I'm hoping to turn up. Are we definitely Wetherspoons? I noticed an attempt at breaking with tradition by changing the venue. I guess there's nothing wrong with the suggestion of decanting to The White Swan at some point. I quite like it in there.
Correct me if I'm wrong but 8pm Weltherspoons is the correct arrangement?

although today i have a short shift to work i cant really make it anyway, contracted a stomach bug a few days back and although i am recovering i still have some not so pleasant effects. I promise i will make an Xmas meet up one year, I'll be thinking of you all x

Think I've got the same bug Emmz, been up since 4.30am badly as a dog. Just trying a snack now to see if will stop down :-(

Cheers I am more or less better have eaten this eve but Other half has it now, noro virus sounds possible in our house as we have all had it including mother in law!. Not so great, have a bevvy or two for me :) x

Bless, and best wishes to the taxi driver who took us home. We didn't abuse him verbally, it's not us, but he must have thought, who the hell gave me this fare. I'm only trying to earn a living and don't need this shit.
