Nice one! I have two pairs, one for normal, one for close up and it's a right pia when I go out, swapping back and forth.

I decided to get some varifocals (sp) but didn't think I could afford them.

Will go and have a look.

Cheers  :)

I once tried varifocals - it felt as though I was continually pi$$ed up when I was wearing them - went back to bifocals! :)

I will stick with Specsavers - my optician was a right dolly bird (perv I know!)  :P

That's why I have avoided them so far - but fannying around with two pairs is getting tiresome

Good to see you here matey  :)

I only need glasses for reading but have seriously considered getting bifocals with clear glass at the top to save messing about.

My Dad used to be the same, except he just had the lower (reading) part in his frames and the top was 'open' - made it much easier if you wanted to rub your eyes!!  ;D I went for the 'old mans' glasses that perch on the end of your nose for when I use the computer (as my bifocals are set for reading distance, which is different to using a computer screen)

I've often wondered about laser treatment - if you need two pairs/bifocals/varifocals prior to treatment, would you still need reading glasses after treatment?

I went down there today and had my eyes tested - was OK until the lady said she was going to blow three little puffs on my eyes...

But apparently she didn't mean that

If she told me I'd feel the effect of 3 puffs blowing me,
I'd be running up Sheff Rd  ::)

Not sure about that but I work with someone who had her eyes lasered.  It didnt go right first time so she had to wait a few weeks and then go back.  2nd time round, perfect vision

Ick. I hate the glaucoma test.
Tesco Opticians are good though. Both me and Robin got our glasses from them. Two pair each and very cheap :)
