It's looking pretty good. What do folks think to the change of name? Not sure when it's reopening but it looks like its nearly finished. The board outside says home cooked food so may give Chesters a run for it's money.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a book written by a local man( a friend of mine) Called The Clayton Challenge Shield then please get in touch. Just published after years of research it contains many photos, some in colour, as well as info on the local schoolboy teams who competed for this prestigious trophy. Almost 300 pages of fascinating reading. Only a few copies left.  :)

Fly - hope it is ok to post this, if not then please feel free to remove.

Chesterfield Discussion / Parking ticket!
« on: August 29, 2013, 07:50:48 PM »
Went into town with my daughter today. Arrived 2 o'clock. Bought a parking ticket for an hour to take me up till 3 and put it on dashboard with residents free parking badge which is valid after 3pm. Got back to car at 4pm to find parking officer had stuck a £25/50 fine on my windscreen for parking after ticket had expired. Question is does anyone think I have a hope of getting it cancelled? I plan to phone the number on the Free parking badge but the parking ticket was issued by some parking company. What do you guys think??   :(

Andy, am I right in thinking that you used to be involved with the Chesterfield Rugby Club? Do you have any articles/ photos relating to the club which we may be able to borrow for the history group exhibition which is on in a couple of weeks? Does anyone else know anything about the Rugby Club?  :)

Did anyone else see the "protest" in Chesterfield on the news? A few tents on Rose Hill gardens, folk protesting about bedroom tax, described as "tent town". Apparently they are sticking it out until tomorrow.  :o

Techie Or Suggestions / Dongles
« on: February 18, 2013, 08:25:55 PM »
Is there any reason why my dongle will work perfectly well on my notebook but refuse to connect on my laptop? Are these things single machine use? Notebook and dongle have worked fine for last few years, new dongle a few months ago also fine on notebook. I decided i wanted to access internet on Dell laptop and loaded Norton package onto laptop and used dongle on there over weekend - worked fine. However today dongle will not be recognised on laptop. Nice blue light and everything but wont find three connection. Any suggestions guys? Dongle will still work on notebook.  :(
