Chesterfield Discussion / Re: New Queens Park Baths.

Do a comparison with the proposals for leisure centre at Clowne, bear in mind Bolsover council tax is at least 50% higher than Chesterfield, then decide which is better value for money

Can't simply upload on here, each individual photo need a hosting address. Took me 3 hours to scan cut & upload and write something about each. If anyone really wants to see them they can join facebook and "like" Old Chesterfield Pics in about 5 minutes.

Old Chesterfield / Hobson's Choice
« on: May 24, 2015, 10:20:29 PM »
Borrowed a book belonging to my dad by Dennis Hobson, a chap who having started work at Hasland Sheds in 1939 must have worked there at some stage at the same time as my Dad. 64 photos mostly local railway so just scanning and cutting as there are 2 per page. Will post on Old chesterfield pics on Faacebook.

Techie Or Suggestions / Re: Electric Powered Bicycle

Presume an electric bicycle is suitable for some types of disability eg being able to walk short distances only

Sorry, meant CBC. Some days I don't know if i'm coming or going!

The DT headline was misleading, she  is not an employee of DCC and if her employer wants to offer her a different role and stand by her they can. Honesty is a criteria of being a badge holder.

There's probably a thread somewhere but went to the miniature railway at Hady yesterday for the first time and was impressed by the set up

As before thousands protest peacefully but the right wing media highlight any isolated incidents of trouble. Usually the only times protests get reported. It's the third of electorate that didn't vote who should hang their heads in shame

Aware of that but he's here for 4 years and it's some years since he was a councillor, may be best to settle into council business for a year

Politics / Re: Election results
« on: May 09, 2015, 09:16:29 AM »
Having bucked the trend twice now regarding results, Toby is seen by the party as being one of the hardest working campaigners, perhaps that's why Murdoch's Scum "newspaper" tried a hatchet job. Fortunately voters of Chesterfield didn't fall for it. I predict that in the very near future we will be wishing we still had the Coalition government because things will get worse nationally. it put a dampener on local celebrations.

Locally (going by hpw parties finished the council term)
Labour +4
LibDem -2
Ind -2
UKIP No Change (though different councillor)
