Computers. Aarrgg !!

Got up this morning, did my usual routine, lappy on, kettle, fag, cuppa.
Back to the lappy, no internet connection !
Checked the wireless router, all lights lit correctly ?
Tried the wifi on my mobile, connected, so the router is working.
Started checking the settings on the lappy, no wifi card connected.
Funny, it was working Ok last night.
Basically faffed around for 2 hours. I ended up opening up the lappy and taking the wifi board out.
Re-booted the lappy, removed all traces of said device, then put the wifi board back in.
Another re-boot, 'Windows has found new hardware, wifi, and is installing the software'
Yet another re-boot and all is well and fine.

Switched it on this afternoon, everything's tickety boo, so what's all that about then ?

Im glad the other forum is back online.
I've managed to print some of my previous posts off, just for prosperiety reasons.  :D
I'd lost/misplaced a letter I received from someone, the old forum boosted my memory.

I can't believe I was so stupid not to scan or copy the document in the first place  :-[

Back on topic, lappy's Ok tonight, no probs. 4 years old, and running sweet  ;D

must be something around here.  Ive been having problems all afternoon.

Yahoo Messenger kept kicking me out but I could get Google.  I cant even update a game im playing as it says ive got no connection (odd how im posting on here)

Ordered a USB Wifi dongle, just in case my lappy's onboard wifi goes boobs up.
Received it today. Installed in minutes, connected straight away  ;D

£4.50  ;) Sorted.
