At last - in with a chance!
Must admit to watching the odd game or two, mainly because the pace of the game suits me, but am v happy the guy finally gets a crack at the big one. :)

He's British for a few more days instead of Scotish
-
;D ;D ;D Been saying that for the last couple of years.
Come on Murray, it's your turn this year, you deserve it ;)

The usual then. When he's good he's British, when he isn't he's Scottish

1977 Queen's Silver Jubilee

2012 Queen's Diamond Jubilee
Wimbledon winner ?????????

Go on then, I'll say it first, its a fix!!
Sue Barker said Fred Perry celebrated his 25th birthday in may before he won wimbledon.
Guess who turned 25 in May?? Andy Murray!
Answers on a postcard please to "Is is a fix to celebrate the jubilee/olympics etc, etc."
Apparently in matches before Murray has beaten him up to now 8-7.
Federer is in good form though, even at 31 yrs old.
Why am I talking about this, I don't like tennis.
C'mon Andy you Scottish/English git!!!!!!!!!!1

I'm one who has made fun of his attempts to "win his Britishness" but I really hope he does it. I couldn't believe some folk on the radio last night with a real downer on him - with that rentagob John McRirick among the leaders. Murray gets stick because he does dour interviews right after a game. I'd invite any of his detractors to run back and forth across their lawn while wellying a ball into their neighbour's garden 750 times in two hours, and then attempt stand-up comedy.

Never mind the Scotsman Murray we have an Englishman Marray in the doubles final at the moment whose brother used to coach my nephew. Just gone to two sets all on tie break
-
All the best to them too. Come on the UK, is this our year for sport.
Can we kick Olympic a$$ in 2012 aswell ?
-
It's getting exciting and I'm not that much of a tennis fan
-
Im not a tennis fan but I hope he wins. Nice for Britain to win something. Unless you are in Scotland then he's not British (unless he loses)
-
Nice win for Marray and Nielsen :)
-
Yeah but he could be the Brit winning in Jubilee year rather than Murray!!!!
-
I'm the odd one out here. I love tennis but I detest Murray with such a passion that I can't bear to watch the final.
-
Why detest?
-
Why detest?
Why what test? ???
-
Come on Murray, get it turned round ;)
-
Looks like the Scotsman lost in the final ;D
-
Still, he gave Federer a run for his money - good game, but the best man won.
-
Agreed Pete, at least he made the finals :)
-
He's young enough to have another go - come on Andy!
