Just found this brilliant photoset of Chesterfield - from Paul Greenroad, I think.

Check it out, some really excellent pictures.

They are a great set of images.  I'm following him on Flickr now.  I saw this one showing Spiers handbag shop but they also used to sell nylons.  My nana, mum and aunt all bought theirs from Spiers in size ten and a half!  Mine were size elevens because I wasn't a short @rse unlike my relatives  ::)

Just had a magnifier on it and neither of us could see it - it 'looks' like FSS  :?

I think FADS was down South Street (road down the side of Wilko's).  Anyone else know?

So was there a wallpaper shop on that street then or I am getting it mixed up with the Co-op paint/wallpaper shop - anyone remember that? it was I think opposite M&S
