You turn if you want to;  the lady, erm, the lady will perhaps turn tomorrow.

Wider bays would mean a lesser number of bays = less revenue for paid car parks.

Supermarkets are only intent in getting the highest footfall possible, so provide the max number of narrow bays to achieve that aim.

There is only so much people can use to fill a charity bag.
We can't support everyone.

General Discussion / Re: Smart Meter

I oversee my daughters' utilities and had an email a couple of days ago advising that I didn't need to send a meter reading as she's on a fixed contract until March 2023. One of those times when you know you made a good choice! She needs a lot of warmth as many others do so it's taken a weight off my mind - for now!

Just sent off my meter readings today, they said I've no real need to but at least I know they've got it up to date.

My next d/d payment in October will be £48 and apparently for the next 6 months, so with that, plus the Winter fuel payment and I'm well in  credit, if I don't go berserk with the utilities we should be fine, but it's still a lot.

I used to have problem with cats who used to eat the food I put out for the Hedgehogs, especially one little pussy who get get where water could go!!
Anyway, I sorted it by using bricks in front of the feeding houses. These days we don't get many at all.
Grow mint and put a small pot near open windows or doors to help keep flies out.
That's the best I can offer with deterrents - sorry

So it would appear there are rumblings in the Tory government, rumours abound that they want Liz Truss replaced, if these rumours are true that's got to be a record. Of course it's been quashed as scare mongering by Sunak supporters but nonetheless it makes you wonder.

I've just been looking up the "C.V."  of her new transport secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan {sounds like a Cornish pirates mum} and her qualifications for the role, it doesn't look good, in fact I'd say her qualifications were non existent.
Grant Shapps, her predecessor, didn't have much in the way of qualifications for the job {and it showed} but she's got even less.
