Really don't know what we are coming too in the UK.
Can't this person be made to stand down?
Terrible terrible comments he has made about disabled children I don't understand how he can have survived this long as a councillor
I'm sure one of you will know the ins and outs of this issue

There is actually some kind of - for want of a better word 'test' Not sure where it can be done maybe job centre or training places (sure someone will know).
After completetion this then indicates where your talents lie - many of us never find out until later in life what our true vocation should be.
I know of someone years back who had been an ambulance driver, had a fall which badly injured his leg - couldn't do his work - he took it and was found that technical work was his field. He went on to work in video/audio - and excelled in it!

Some people are naturally brilliant at techie stuff - sounds as if you may be in the wrong job Fly.
Have you ever thought of changing work roles?
ps it's done it this time  ;)

Ok Tarzan - you clever man ugh!  ;D

If that had been ours it would have been in the bin!
Well done.

Missed the first bit of this on the news but a chap had what looked like a tablet - called it a phone?
But it is one i think which is coming in the not so distance future where it you can set it to switch on your central heating or turn it up whilst you are still at work - stuff like that.
Very interesting and clever.

General Discussion / Head teacher and staff suspended
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:15:39 PM »
This is in a primary school in Blackpool. It seems there are concerns about the way ' isolating children when they displayed challenging behaviour' was dealt with.
Claims have been made that one child was put into a room the size of a cupboard.
Our children should be at least be safe and well cared for in schools ------ shouldn't they!

Chesterfield Discussion / Re: Chesterfield Law Centre
« on: February 26, 2013, 11:44:44 AM »
That's just one example of how the Law centre has given help to Chesterfield people Fly and what daughter did, also helped young mums with pushchairs and the senior citzens, her last achievement was to re-educate Eyres who have now provided a lovely big toilet on the same level as their cafe and also a press button facility to gain access, so well done to them and others in Chesterfield who listened and improved their access. There are of course many more ways the Law Centre has helped people and I do hope it's not going to happen as many will miss it and the service it provides  :(

Terrbile accident this, it's killed 19 of the 21 passengers. Must admit I am too scared to go up in one although hubby did a few  years ago when we clubbed together for a birthday gift for him. he said it was a fantastic experience - not for me though.

Nice bloke - doesn't know fact from fiction. Little wonder we are in a mess being led (like lambs to the slaughter) by people who are either down right liars - all suffering dementia

I agree about the parking costs and prefering to use the shops than on-line Salter.
As pensioners we have started to use our bus pass unless we need heavy stuff because of the parking costs.
Not sure how long we will have the bus pass for - but getting some use out of it whilst we can  ;)

;D and 'why' would an innocent man resign?
We will get to know the truth eventually.
