So, latest in this story is:

The South African detective leading the Oscar Pistorius inquiry is facing seven charges of attempted murder, police have confirmed.

Im not sure, I think it sounds a bit dodgy to me.  Im leaning more towards it being a tragic accident.

I would like to think after all hes achieved he wouldnt just throw it all away.

I'm with you Simon - have fancied going to South Africa in the past for a holiday but recent years have put me off. I don't think it's a safe place for a holiday.
I've been watching the news on this detective this morning, seven charges of attempted murder - and he's leading this Pistorius trial! Not on is it he should have been suspended!

Couldnt agree more, it just shows in a small section the corruption.

If Pistorius is innocent and it was an accident, judging by the latest development of the detective, I wouldnt put it past them to make him guilty so they get a conviction.

Its not a place ive ever considered visiting though.
