This any better? Superb piece of architecture.

Mind you, apparently I'm one of those who protest every time a new building is to be built... So I suppose I should dislike it.  :P

I think the other two floors are part of the design...  ::)

Anyway, I won't be going out taking pictures of it in the daytime as my girlfriend is busy during the day.

Take the same photo during the day, I think you'll find the lights are tricking you into believing it has merit.

The photo didn't completely capture the rue 'twist' of the clock but it's certainly original.

Think you missed this post Pete  ;)
As regards the Casa, it's different'  :)

Sorry Pete but purple lighting can't disguise it during the day time when it looks like a couple of Lego bricks. Remove the top two floors which aren't part of the hotel and it's just ugly, dull and totally without imagination.

C'mon Dave, don't beat about the bush - say what you mean!

Actually I agree with you 100%, it reminds me of metal containers stacked on top of each other, and the top ones slipped!

I was looking, at Google images, for a cantilever building I saw in Manchester that won a major award for architecture - and this is what I found.

Stunning!

Why am I not surprised that the Casa doesn't feature in a Google search for 'modern+award+winning+cantilever+architecture'?
