Britain's top Catholic cleric accused of 'inappropriate acts'
« on: February 24, 2013, 12:43:52 PM »
Britain's top Catholic cleric accused of 'inappropriate acts' against FOUR priests just days before he helps choose the new Pope

I'm not going to go on one of my usual rants against the hypocrisy rife in religion you'll be pleased to know. But it did make me think about the Jimmy Savile furore - one bent b*st*rd by anyone's standards - but it pales into insignificance when you look at the hundreds or even thousands of bent, rapist clergymen.

They are all at 'it' it seems Pete, are we breeding a load of pervs - or are they all just starting to crawl out of their closets!

It stops when all those pervs realise that the general public will not turn a blind eye to it anymore. When victims are treated with respect, not suspicion. And when a few men of the cloth get 20 or 30 years in jail for pedo activities.

He's resigned!

One of Denis Skinner's tweets today:

FOR SALE: One Edinburgh to Rome 1st class flight ticket unexpectedly available.

;D and 'why' would an innocent man resign?
We will get to know the truth eventually.

Timing is everything
He was due to retire anyway but this way he has been prevented from taking part in the conclave to elect the new pope.
He claims he has resigned so as not to draw attention away from that.

Unless it gets sidelined by the election of a new pope...

Or some other such flimsy excuse.

Still, that's one less for the young 'uns to worry about.

The truth's out. He's apologised for his in-appropriate misconduct.

I heard it on the news on the telly. Apparently he's not even in this country.
